SCNHRB copy has old gilt-tooled black full leather bindings with raised bands and red spine labels; marbled endpapers and edges; and brown silk ribbon page markers. There is an unidentified provenance stamp in gold on the front covers, resembling a "W" with horizontal bars at both feet and at the top of the midpoint
