Summary:
The expedition to the South Seas on the yacht "Mary Pinchot" under the leadership of the Hon. Gifford Pinchot departs New York City, for a cruise of about ten months. Dr. A.K. Fisher, of the Biological Survey, accompanies the team as naturalist to obtain material desired for the United States National Museum.
