Summary:
Section 201 (a) of the Act of October 15, 1966 (80 Stat. 915; 16 U.S.C. 470) is amended by (1) striking out "seventeen" and inserting "twenty"; (2) inserting after paragraph (6) the following: "(7) The Secretary of Agriculture (8) The Secretary of Transportation (9) The Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution; and (3) redesignating paragraphs. The participation of the United States as a member in the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property is authorized.
The Council shall recommend to the Secretary of State, after consultation with the Smithsonian Institution and other public and private organizations concerned with the technical problems of preservation, the members of the official delegation which will participate in the activities of the Centre on behalf of the United States. For the purposes of this section, there are authorized to be appropriated not more than $100,000 annually for fiscal year 1971 and for each of the two succeeding fiscal years.
