Summary:
A financial report on the status of the Freer fund and the Consolidated fund. A picture mounter working at the Freer Gallery of Art has family in another (unspecified) country, and he is determined to leave the U.S. unless his family can come here. Secretary Leonard Carmichael encouraged the Smithsonian Board of Regents to write to the Chairmen of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the House Judiciary Committee supporting the bills to bring the picture mounter's family to the U.S.
