Future Secretary S. Stationed in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, he continued his ornithological passion with bird field studies in his free time. Having traveled widely in the South Pacific before the war, he knew the geography, natural history and languages of the region.
Summary:
Letter from Mrs. Constance Baillie Ripley, S. Dillon Ripley's mother, to US National Museum curator of birds Herbert Friedmann enclosing a letter from Dillon and a list and asks for the letter to be returned. She mentions that she has received many cheerful letters from Dillon.
