Summary:
Letter on Smithsonian letterhead from William deC. Ravenel, Admnistration Assistant, to Richard Rathbun regarding a conference with Colonel C.W. Weeks and the collection of war materials for the United States National Museum. He stated that they would ask for General John J. Pershing's help in collecting World War I materials from our allies as well as our enemies. Other options to obtain arms and equipment were outlined in the letter.
