Summary:
Portrait of Leonard P. Schultz, Ichthyologist and Field Naturalist. Schultz came to the Smithsonian in 1936 as an assistant curator in the Division of Fishes. In 1938, he was named curator-in-charge of the Division, and held that position until 1965. He then became senior zoologist until his retirement in 1968. After retirement, Schultz continued his relationship with the Smithsonian as Zoologist Emeritus - Fishes, Department of Vertebrate Zoology. This portrait included the caption " Leonard P. Schultz, Zoologist Emeritus - Fishes, Department of Vertebrate Zoology, NMNH."
