Summary:
Image of ten people in Río San Pablo, Sóna, Veraguas, Panama. Some people are standing over a river bank. One person is carrying a bundle away from the rest of the group and a young child is standing on the slope near some cargo. The caption for the image reads, "discharging cargo." Watson M. Perrygo is stannding third from left. The image was taken by Smithsonian Secretary Alexander Wetmore on May 17, 1953 during an ornithological expedition to Panama. A mountain can be seen in the background.
