Summary:
The photographic work of employees of Major John Wesley Powell, in connection with the United States Geological Survey and Bureau of Ethnology, is moved into the space in the Laboratory of Natural History vacated by Thomas W. Smillie. Mr. John K. Hillers, photographer, has utilized the rooms in the preparation of enlarged photographs of the scenery and aborigines of the West for the windows of the National Museum. It is proposed to introduce these photographs in a large number of the windows of the museum building.
