Portrait of a young Japanese feudal lord, or daimio, standing facing forward, his gaze directed to the left, his left hand resting on his hip, and a sword held in his right hand. He wears a floral kimono tied around the waist with a green sash and a red velvet sash. The sword held in his right hand is tucked under the red velvet sash.
