Summary:
This sculpture depicts the Confederate assault on Battery C with three Confederate Soldiers (one officer, and two riflemen) charging across the field toward the ramparts manned by two Union Soldiers, one rifleman, and one cannon crewman. The cannoneer pulls the lanyard on a 12-pounder howitzer behind the wooden breastworks of the battery. The figures are Cor-Ten steel but their accessories - rifles, sword, ramrod - are stainless steel.
