Summary:
View of the cannon parapet of Morro Castle, the late sixteenth-century fort built by the Spanish at the entrance to the harbor of Santiago de Cuba. The old watchtower is on the left and the cannons, still aimed out at the harbor, are lined up on the right. The moon and a beam of light from the harbor searchlight are visible against the sky.
