Fowler, Betty Alice and Andrew Ladis, "The Art of Lucy May Stanton," Athens: Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia, 2002, no. 11.
Summary:
Lucy Cobb Graham, an African-American nanny, is seated in a rocking chair on a terrace with a young girl, Frances Forbes, in her lap. A young blond-haried boy, Walter Forbe, is seated at their side. While Lucy Cobb looks down at the girl, who holds an object in her hands, Frances looks directly to the viewer. A landscape is in the background.
