Summary:
Seaside scene depicting three boys, an African American boy dressed in tattered clothes and two white boys dressed in suits and straw hats, all seated on pieces of driftwood along the beach, their attention directed toward a game of mumbley peg, involving a pocketknife and various throwing positions. The African American boy and one of the other boys actively play the game, while the third boy reclines behind them watching the game.
