Summary:
Farm landscape crowded with members of a church congregation surrounding a large cistern in which a minister is about to baptize a young woman into the church. The minister and the young woman stand in the knee-deep water, the minister's hands on the young woman's shoulders as he is about to dunk her under the water, while she clasps her hands in prayer. Members of the congregation watch, some holding hymnals as they raise their voices in song during the ceremony. In the background there is a barn and windmill, with a farmhouse in the distance.
