Summary:
The stone is carved in relief with a circular coat of arms depicting two female figures flanking a shield, the female on the left leaning against a fasces and the female on the right seated with her left arm raised. The shield bears images of three plows, and above the shield there is an image of an arm and hand holding a sword. The circular coat of arms is flanked on the left with a male figure standing beside a griffin, and on the right by a female figure holding a shield in her left hand and a staff in her right hand. In front of her there is an owl and at her feet there is an anvil. Below the circular coat of arms there is ribbon banner carved in relief with NEWARK. The outer edges of the stone are carved with a border.
