Summary:
This lunette is one of eight along the east end mezzanine that illustrate battle scenes. The view here shows the October 23, 1864 cavalry charge and countercharge between Union forces on the right and the Confederate forces on the right in Westport, Missouri. The Union forces defeated General Sterling Price and his Confederate troops.
