Summary:
The murals in the four small domes grouped around the pillars that support the Great Dome all relate to the larger historical murals in the pendentives of the Great Dome. The theme of the four murals of the small northeast dome is the time period from "The Landing of Laclede to the Louisiana Purchase." Early River Men depicts three hardy river men rowing a boat.
