Summary:
A fountain sculpture depicting a life-size figure of a mermaid seated on a pile of rocks, playing a lullaby on her panpipes to her infant child sleeping by her side. She holds the pipes to her mouth with both hands, turning to look down at the child on her proper left. The mermaid's hair curls down her back and she wears a skirt made of large leaves. Her fish tails coil around the rocks behind her, and she is surrounded by a variety of fauna and fish, including two dolphins and a turtle. The fountain sculpture is installed in a circular basin that is encircled by a wrought iron fence.
