Full-length female figure dressed in military uniform with dogtags and boots. She holds her arms out in front of her. Across her forearms is draped a folded flag. The bronze sculpture stands on an octagonal granite base. On each of five sides of the base is mounted a brass medallion emblem of one of the branches of service: the Marine Corps, the Navy, the Army, the Air Force and the Coast Guard. On the front face of the base is a raised oval with a map of the world.
