Summary:
A three-sided, fluted concrete column topped by a large bronze eagle with wings folded at its sides standing on a bronze sphere. At eye-level, the column is surrounded by a projecting steel frame containing relief panels depicting scenes chronicling events leading up to and including the Apollo 11 moon landing.
