Summary:
Two United States Army air defenders stand on a rock preparing to fire a Stinger shoulder-fired missile. On the left stands the gunner supporting the Stinger on his proper right shoulder with both hands, his proper left foot forward on the peak of the rock. To his proper left, standing slightly behind, is the team leader with proper left arm outstretched assisting the gunner by pointing skyward. Both soldiers are dressed in battle uniforms and boots. Each man wears a Kevlar helmet, a pistol belt with accessories and a M17A1 protective mask in a carrier on his proper left hip. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular block base.
