Summary:
Full-length figure of a uniformed Union color bearer stands atop a columnic pedestal, a tiered, rough-hewn base and an octagonal foundation. The figure holds the United States flag on its pole upright in his proper left hand, crooking the whole flag in his proper left arm. His proper right hand reaches to the handle of his sword, on his proper left hip. There is a small relief plate on the base which bears the Michigan Coat of Arms.
