Summary:
A rectangular, rough-edged commemorative marker with a curved relief of a Civil War soldier. He wears a uniform and cap and faces to the right, kneeling on his proper right knee and holding his rifle on his proper right side with both hands. Carved laurel and oak leaves adorn the top arches above the relief. The marker is topped with a rough-edged cap with a medallion of the State of Ohio seal in the center. Above the medallion is an acorn. The marker is set upon a rectangular, rock-faced base.
