Summary:
Full-length figure of Christopher Columbus. He wears a knee-length belted tunic and a long cloak over his shoulders. In his proper left hand he holds a scroll of paper. His proper right hand rests on the top of a ship's spoked steering wheel which is directly behind his legs. The marble sculpture stands on a granite base.
