Summary:
Colorful guardian vessel figure incorporated into the noise wall is fully visible from the neighborhood side and partially visible from the freeway side. The lip and neck of the vessel comprise the guardian's head. The hat is an inverted cone-shape with a large, decorated feather in the front. The face consists mainly of two mirrored eyes and diamond patterns. The body is comprised of the bottom of the vessel whose protruding form is flanked by the figure's "shoulders and arms." There is a circle and inverted triangle pattern across the top of the body. Colors include navy blue, black, silver white, grey taupe, red-orange and yellow. The guardian vessel is based on totem kachinas and Navajo and Hopi designs.
