Summary:
Full-length portrait of Henry Smith. He wears dress of the 1830's including a suit and overcoat. His proper left thumb is hooked into his vest watch-pocket. His proper right arm is slightly raised as if gesturing. The sculpture stands atop a square granite block. Behind the sculpture on either side rise two tall pink granite shafts. The sculpture and shafts stand on a concrete platform paved with pink granite.
