Summary:
Free-standing rectangular, peaked, bronze plaque. The plaque is flanked by two iron lamps, one on either side. In the center of the plaque, near the top, is a bas-relief eagle. The eagle's wings are outspread. It carries a flag standard and a sword in its talons. On each side of the plaque are two full-length bas-relief figures of World War I soldiers. The soldier on the left faces forward and is turned slightly to the proper left. The soldier on the right faces back and is turned slightly to the proper left. Both soldiers are dressed in uniform and hold bayonet guns in their hands. The soldiers stand on square relief pedestals which have seals in the center.
