Summary:
A Civil War infantryman stands at parade rest holding the barrel of his rifle with both hands in front of him, the butt of which rests on the ground at his proper right front. On his proper right side, a canteen hangs from his belt. A pouch hangs from the back of his belt. The sculpture has a brown patina. The sculpture is mounted atop a tall, tapered shaft with a stepped bottom.
