Summary:
Full-length figure of a uniformed Union soldier stands atop a tall, tapered pedestal. The figure wears a long, caped coat, cap and moustache. His proper right hand is on his hip. He holds his rifle by the barrel in his proper left hand, with the butt by his proper left foot. American Eagle reliefs appear on three sides of the pedestal. The work stands on a low, round retaining wall planter.
