Summary:
An archway with historical scenes and figures from Longmont, Colorado from 1871 to 1910, along its top, supported by three beams. Included, from left to right, are: Seth Terry, one of the original surveyors marking the edge of the town with a wild animal horn; benefactress Elizabeth Thompson standing next to Library Hall; a Colorado Central Railroad locomotive bringing in colonists; J. H. Empson stirring currant jelly in his silver kettle; J. Empson, his daughter Cannery and Lida Empson on top of a building; a migrant farm worker bringing a sugar beet on a wagon to the sugar factory; two women with a large pie for Pumpkin Pie Days; the colony office; and surveyor, Mr. Fawcett marking the other edge of town with a wild animal horn.
