Summary:
Full-length bronze figure of George Washington dressed in military uniform. To his proper left is a column of thirteen rods, resembling a Roman fasces, which rests on the mold board of a plow. A cloak is thrown on top of this column, and Washington's proper left hand rests on this. In his proper right hand he holds a walking cane, the tip of which rests on the plinth of the sculpture. Washington is bareheaded and gazes forward. The sculpture stands on a granite base.
