Summary:
Vertical monument stands on a tiered and rough-hewn base. The piece has an ornate cap which is topped with the 12th Corps star and bayonet. Other decorative elements on top include a belt, cartridge box and four bedrolls. A round Seal for the State of Maryland in relief appears on the front face.
