Summary:
Vertical, narrow shaft and pedestal stand on a low, rough-hewn base. The Greek Cross Corps emblem is on the cap. A tondo with the State Seal appears on the shaft. A relief on the pedestal depicts a single uniformed soldier standing with arms reversed on a field amid a knapsack, drum, kepi and broken musket. An inscription on the relief reads, "It is over." These three elements are on the front of the monument.
