Summary:
Abel, clothed in animal skin over his proper left shoulder, is seated on a large, rough rock. His proper left hand rests on the rock; his proper right hand rests upon his proper left knee. His proper left leg extends backward at the knee. He gazes into the distance with an earnest expression. The sculpture rests upon a tiered block base, occupying one side of a set of courthouse steps. On the opposite side of the steps is a companion sculpture of Cain.
