Summary:
A uniformed Union color guard soldier stands grasping a flagpole in his proper left hand. The soldier's proper right hand reaches across his chest to grasp the hilt of his sword, which blends with the furls of the flag. The soldier has a moustache and wears a cap with bill and and a jacket with a strapped flagholder on the front. The soldier is mounted upon a circular, inscribed, multitiered base.
