Summary:
Two doors, each with four cast bronze panels set in bronze framing, found at the entrance of the North Tower's east side. The panels at the left side portray four events in the childhood of Jesus. The panels on the right side portray contemporary themes analogous to the four events in Jesus' life. From top to bottom on the left door the panels depict: 1) the presentation of Christ, 2) the flight of the Holy Family into Egypt, 3) Christ at the feet of the Doctors in the Temple, and 4) Christ feeding the multitudes. From top to bottom on the right side the panels depict: 1) a scene showing infant baptism at the Cathedral font, 2) a scene showing modern families in flight, 3) a classroom scene of children and a teacher with a suggestion of Grace Cathedral in the background, and 4) children offering their mite boxes for the mission of the church. Nine miniature abstract reliefs surround the larger reliefs of each door. Each door has a dove-like door handle.
