Summary:
An upright rectangular stone with Japanese calligraphy, placed atop platform base with commemorative text plaque. The sculpture is unpolished with rounded corners and is uniformly grey except for the incised calligraphy which appears as almost white. There is also an indentation along the right front edge. The area around the sculpture is carpeted with chips and bark.
