Summary:
Figures on the totem pole include from top to bottom, an eagle, bearded man with crossed arms, man holding the sun and Raven. The two top figures represent the transfer of Alaska from the Russia to America; with the eagle as America and the bearded man as a Russian priest/missionary. The remaining figures tell the creation stories of Raven and the harnessing of the natural resources of the universe for use by Man.
