Summary:
A rough-hewn, rock-faced gray granite slab with an oval white marble bust relief of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn inset at the front top center. Carved in relief on the front proper right of the sculpture is a broken trunk of an oak tree, and on the lower proper left in relief is an inscription. A plaque which described Jahn's accomplishments used to be on the back of the memorial. The memorial is set on a poured concrete foundation.
