Summary:
Two sculptures, one of a drummer boy and one of a fifer boy are each placed atop a concrete pad on the lawn. The drummer boy is dressed in shoes, short pants, a shirt, a long overcoat, and a cloth cap with a tassel on the back of his head. He stands with a drum hanging from a strap over his proper right shoulder. The drum hangs at his front proper left side. The figure holds a drumstick in each hand with the tips resting on the drum. Behind his proper left leg is a short marble tree trunk which provides support. The fifer boy is dressed in boots, short pants, a shirt, a long buttoned overcoat, and a hat with a curled brim and a decorative flower. He is shown walking, with his proper right leg bent backwards, and his proper right foot raised off the ground at the heel. His proper left hand holds the remains of the flute that he once held up to his mouth with both hands. A short marble tree trunk supports the figure at his proper left rear.
