Summary:
Two aircraft mounted as if climbing at a nearly vertical angle, each at the end of a narrow arc-shaped support attached to a central pylon. Flanking the pylon are two black granite slabs set on edge and inscribed with the names of the squadron's aircraft types, the North American P-51 Mustang and the Supermarine Spitfire, and the squadron's insignia. The insignia features a cartoon figure of a dog dressed in formal attire, leaning on a walking stick planted on a Nazi swastika and holding in its proper right hand a cocktail glass in which sits a nude woman. The squadron's name, American Beagle Squadron, is printed on the insignia.
