Summary:
Full-length grouping of pioneer family on a polished granite base. Woman stands behind seated man. She wears long dress with shawl draped across shoulders. Her gaze is fixed forward as she embraces infant wrapped in cloth. Bearded man sits with proper left knee bent, gazes down and comforts child with proper left arm. He wears jacket and heavy boots. Child kneels on father's proper left leg; child's arms folded on father's lap; head is lowered. Child wears robe or nightgown. Rough-hewn logs stacked in proper left corner. Base is highly polished with inscription on front.
