Summary:
Standing figure of a man dressed in late 19th century attire, including a thigh-length jacket, vest, high-necked shirt, and trousers. He has a full beard and moustache and leans with his proper left hand on a tree stump. With his proper right hand he holds the lapel of his jacket. His proper left leg is slightly bent and forward, with the toe of his proper left foot extending beyond the edge of the base. The base is a low flat semi-circle of granite. The sculpture is installed under an open roof.
