Summary:
A Union soldier standing at parade rest. He wears a uniform consisting of a long coat, an elbow-length cape, and a cap. He holds the barrel of a rifle with both hands. The butt of the rifle rests on the plinth beside his proper left foot. His proper left foot is slightly forward and his proper left leg is slightly bent.
