Summary:
A rectangular monument made of blocks of sandstone and resting on a circular sandstone base with a semi-circular seating area in back. On the monument is an oval shaped bronze plaque with a relief portrait of Edmund Kirby-Smith, who was a Confederate general during the Civil War. Kirby-Smith faces front and wears a uniform and full beard.
