Summary:
Statue of a Confederate soldier standing at funeral parade rest. He rests both hands on the butt of his rifle. The barrel of the rifle is pointed down with the end resting on the plinth. He wears a full Confederate uniform with waist-length cape, thigh-length jacket, and a hat with a brim. Attached to the back of his proper left leg is a tree stump. His proper right leg is slightly bent. He wears his hat at an angle and gazes down. He stands atop a tiered marble base with columns at all four corners. On the base below the statue is a 23 in. x 17 1/2 in. plaque with a tree, flag, cannon, hat, sword, bugle, and rifle depicted in relief.
