Summary:
An allegorical female figure of Justice. She wears a flowing classical style dress which falls to her ankles and is tied with a rope-style belt. The fabric of her dress is thin and delicate. She is blindfolded. In her proper left hand, she holds a set of scales above her head. In her proper right hand she grasps the handle of a sword, the point of which rests on the plinth near her proper right foot. Her proper left leg is slightly bent and her proper left foot projects slightly beyond the edge of the plinth. She is barefoot and is painted a gold color. The figure stands about twenty feet off the ground, atop an engaged column or buttress. Metal straps, also painted gold, attach the figure to the courthouse wall.
