Summary:
A bust of Booker T. Washington, wearing a bottoned coat, a buttoned shirt, and a bow tie. The bust sat atop a rectangular base in front of a rectangular stele. Flanking the bust were curving walls of an exedra with benches in front of them. Steps led up to a semi-circular platform supporting the monument. On the platform was an inlaid replica of the state seal.
