Summary:
Figure of a confederate soldier standing at parade rest atop an ornate marble shaft, on a stepped granite base. He wears the uniform of a Confederate private, including a brimmed hat. He holds the barrel of a rifle in both hands. The butt of the rifle rests in front of his proper right foot. His proper left foot is slightly forward and his proper left leg is bent.
